Dr. Guy it doesn't surprise me to see you agreeing with moderateman, you guys are all cut with the same scissors. And I am not surprised you are a racist. After all, (go ahead - chomp on this) liberals usually are.But thanks for the compliment. To be compared favorably with MM is an honor.
End of Dr's quote
You're assuming I'm a liberal, because in your very rigid mind, anyone that argues with a point that you've entomed in your psyche as "conservative", they are automatically liberals. Because in your mind you see blue and red, nothing more, you see two labels and you are incapable of existing in any other fashion. If you were to even entertain the notion someone might disagree with something liberal and agree with something liberal all within the same time period it would make your head explode. Cheers at being another agent of the clone arrmy. I've never said I would vote for this or that, yet you state I'm a liberal, that's so predictable. You also have no basis to say I'm a racist. It's just the simplest defense you can muster. I say forget all this division, forget all separatism, forget any segregation, and you say I'm racist? A breath of insanity.
It's appaling how easy it was to bring racism back into the picture as the strong political argument. In 2004 it was patriotism. They are (that being the campaign machina and it's gears) are toying with our minds. You have been conscripted as a yielder of the term racism, I've fallen victim to it, and so have many others. Look at you so quick to call me racist, ignoring reality because its such an easy term that rolls off the tongue so quickly. I don't know about you but even having this conversation makes me feel used.
Sometimes we tend to filter things through our own prejudices. I didn't take it that way at all. In this country "white guilt" on the part of some people who are overly PC has pretty much created a situation where things are pretty much as MM describes. He just tends to be more direct and passionate in the way he expresses himself. MM is Jewish and is very familiar with bigotry. He's also a good man and would never associate himself with such cretins as the KKK (who wouldn't have his hebe ass anyway).
End of MasonM's quote
I like you more than I like the zombie Dr. Guy, so I will be less adversarial. Look, I'm well aware that I might filter something through my own prejudiced mind. You didn't take it that way so that means you filtered it through your mind. We disagree it's as simple as that.
That sounds honest, to me, and doesn't "call" for anything. You reveal your own prejudice in those comments.
I don't know where you live, but my society desegregated long ago. However, since passage of the Civil Rights Act, the black community's high-profile leader's have been doing everything they can to maintain the racial divide. Meanwhile, ordinary African Americans have been going about living their lives in a mostly color-blind society, the exceptions being where "whitey" is no longer welcome. Everything that happens to (& everything done by) high-profile African Americans has racial overtones, thanks to the like of Jesse & Al & the MSM which give them airtime. Nothing that happens to high-profile Caucasian Americans has any racial overtones, unless of course, it also involves an African American. When telling the truth before an African American audience is "talking down" to them, there is a problem, and the problem is Jesse Jackson's refusal to let racism die.
End of quote
Yeah it is very honest, I never called him a liar. I'm sorry I used the word "segregation", I was using the more apt separatism previously, which calling for a racial group to stand up apart from another is. I didn't think that someone would actually consider the technical value of the word segregation that no longer applies. While, I highly disagree with SOME African American leaders who come out and use "separation" as means to maintain the divide, people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, I feel that all calls for separation, division, differentiation, disintegration, disassociation, are detrimental towards any progress. Did I use enough synonyms and are they in the proper context? I think that what moderateman is calling for is the same shite that Jackson calls for and isn't helping anyone out. The problem is people aren't thinking. Furthermore, on the other side, there are white people who openly use racial slurs, against other ethnicities, do we not forget that there are people out there convincing others that obama is a muslim? I've found some of these people to be white. That's racism. It exists on both sides. The problem lies that we keep separating. We keep associating ourselves with each other because of race. What you guys are calling for is nothing more than primitive tribalism, and if you don't call out the saboteurs on both sides of the isles don't call out at all.
