desktop menu - widget?

Is there any program out there that is just a little menu that sits there. Basically like a list of buttons and sub-menu's for various applications, similar to a dock.

I've made a mock up in photoshop to show the sort of thing I mean.

I'm thinking I could simply make that myself as a widget?

RightClick, ObjectBar, ObjectDock, and DesktopX can all do that.

OD is probably the easiest, followed by RC, OB, and DX.

desktopx has several button menues like you describe.
right click is the ultimate menu and is easy to use.
object dock can make those buttons look really cool.
dunno much about object bar.

OB is RC on steroids.

Yeah I wouldn't want it on click, i want it to always be sitting there, ready for use. I want to be able to keep my default right click menu.

I'll check out OB, it looks promising.

Does it have any issues running on Vista?
