Random Crashing

New user here, game wont run more than a few minutes until it exits to desktop.
All the minidump files are of 0 size.

I am running a quad core with plently of power, and XP x64.

Last night it lasted long enough to do the videos, but crashed 20mins into my first game.
Tonight it is going down within minutes.

I use a Nvidea GTX8800 running WHQL drivers only. The machine plays COD4 fine.

I have look through the faq and have turn off bloom (althought it was never on) and have lowered all the settings to high. Come to think of it, last night, the settings were all on highest.

There is a minor release of my GPU drivers, so I am down loading them. I will try them and also try lowering my screen resolution as it is quite high.

Any points would be great!

Thanks,
Simon.

Since you just re-installed, I'm assuming you're running version 1.0?

Please update your game to the latest game version (v1.05).

You can go to to (www.impulsedriven.com) and download and install IMPULSE (Stardock's new distribution system) to download and install the latest version of SINS.

There have been many enhancements and bug fixes since version 1.0 so I don't think it would be fair to ask the DEVS to troubleshoot an issue which has more than likely been fixed in a later game-version.

thanks,

Definitely make sure you've got the latest ones. There was an issue in nVidia's drivers prior to 174 that could cause Sins to crash frequently on some setups.

Sure I am running the latest version.
Long term PC user here, played many games, used many apps, but never had a problem like this before.

If I cannt get it to work I wonder if the shop will take it back.

When you say "sure I'm running the latest version " is that in reference to my question? or kryo's?

Yes, to both; game and drivers.

However, with x64 you use different nvidia drivers. Mine are version 175.19, WHQL.
