TA 1.95: Oddness with abilities during game setup

I tried starting a couple of games as Thalans. I don't know if it is a past setting or their default, but on the Pick Your Civilization page, the Thalans show Logisitcs +6. However, on the Abiliites tab for Customize Your Civilization, the Logistics ability does not appear in the list. Other built-in abilities, like +33 production do show.

Is anyone else noticing things like this, or do I need to think about an uninstall/reinstall?

p.s. Does anyone else think that all the new cross-forum posts are pushing GC2 stuff off the recent posts page too quickly? It's like our nice little town had a highway run down the middle so you can't hear when Neighbor Ned pulls into his driveway any more.

Odd about the ability display, do you get the appropriate bonus after you begin the game?

I'm not sure what appropriate is, but I started with a fleet limit of 6 points. I thought "+6" meant I would start at 12, but maybe the UI is confusing the baseline with a starting bonus?

The thing that seems weirdest, though, is not seeing Logistics at all when I'm choosing how to spend my points. I could swear it used to be there, although I've never spent points on it.

It may exist as part of a mod. Neither logistics nor miniturization show up as selectable abilites (atleast, none of my installed copies had it). The same goes for the new stuff added in the expansions, such as toxic world colonization for DA, or "War Profiteering" for TA.

I have never used mods--the switch is disabled under Game Options.

The +6 is simply the logistics you start with. I just started a game with the Altarians, who have +5 logistics, and they start with 5 maximum logistics instead of the typical 6. Arceans and Yor both start with 8.
