Glitching all over the place

Windows Vista Ultimate x86

There are various glitches affecting my experience with windowsblinds, and if I try to uninstall/reinstall it, something really strange happens.  After I reinstall it claims that it could not communicate with the network and asks if I want to send the activation through email.

Confused, I restart my computer in safe mode w/ networking.  Lo and behold my wireless adapter's drivers are broken in safe mode.  I restart normally and I see windows classic shell, no desktop, and an activation requirement.  Also, broken wlan.  So I go back to safe mode and do a system restore, all set.

Would be nice if I were all set.  I'm still experiencing issues, and I only wish I had the technical knowledge to troubleshoot it.  When I change skins, it leaves taskbar in the old skin and partially skins the windows.  I have some screen caps (below) including the system info.

Also, with windowsblinds installed, windows takes 45 seconds longer to boot.  Sometimes more, it tends to hang.
Please note that vista is freshly installed/updated 3 days ago from today.  Also, up-to-date drivers.  Not sure how much bearing that has on the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Did you use the trial before purchasing Windowblinds?

The trial MUST be un-installed prior to installing the full version, and you need to disable (turn off) all anti-virus and firewalls before installing.

Install from an account with administrative priviledges.

nview should NOT be enabled....it conflicts with Windowblinds.

If you've installed any other customization software such as tranformation packs then you should uninstall them as well. Reboot between all steps.

Do you mean resolution?
1680x1050 natively on 22" LCD. 60Hz
If that's not it, let me know, and I'll check into it, thanks. :)

You gave me a lot to look on, there, I appreciate it. I'll check it out now. :D
But I can confirm that the trial was not involved. I made a fresh installation of vista specifically to purchase windowsblinds and to use it without issue. I'm not sure what went wrong, there. I installed it prior to AVG.

DPI is your text size....not sure where it's set in Vista, I'm still on XP...
In XP it's set thru the Display Properties. The "Normal" size is 96dpi but many people prefer "Large Fonts" which is 120dpi

DPI in Vista: Control Panel | Personalization | Adjust Font Size (on the side panel)

Thanks, DPI is 96.

Okay, AVG was uninstalled, rebooted system. I had to use that zapper tool to uninstall WB because for whatever reason there was no install.log. But also, that tool deleted my autoruns program from a totally different folder and placed personality files into it. (*.WB4) That I simply do not understand, but I'll just have to download it again.

Anyway, WB6 installed and rebooted without a hitch. It's working flawlessly, now. But Vista still takes >1 minute to boot, upwards 2 minutes.

Is it safe to reinstall AVG? I'm honestly afraid to.
