How to play game on comp without internet?

I recently bought the digital download pack of GalCiv2& expansions. Using SDC, it automatically installs the games on my internet computer, which is not what i want...

I want to install it on my other computer (2nd computer) that is not linked to internet. Moving the Galciv2 folder onto a dvd to put onto my 2nd computer doesn't work as the game says 'different computer ID', and doesnt allow play. What to do?

The sticky'ed post with help link on this forum doesnt work - the link is dead. Please help!

The "different computer id" is linked with the sig.bin file that is present in the GC2 folder. Remove it and follow the procedure. GC2 will attempt to validate the game. When it fails, it will offer you a way to the the sig.bin file from e-mail exchange.

BTW, the correct procedure to install a game with SDC from another computer, is to create an archive with SDC, move the archive to your galing computer, then use SDC to restore the archive.

And instead of installing directly the game on your connected computer, you could have used the option to download and archive the game.

Since your gaming computer isn't connected to internet, you will need to use a lot the SDC archive feature since updates are all done with SDC and you won't find any availiable standalone patch.

Thanks, I'll download the archive with SDC, and reinstall with SDC. Ahhh, looks like i'll have to do a lot of archived downloading (the whole game) everytime there is a patch, since there is no standalone patch.
