WB 6.1 (64 bit)

Anyone else having these issues?

I was wondering if im the only one with WB 64 bit that have issues with many skins and the address bar height being increased greatly on pretty much 95% of the skins.

When I apply Sirus for example this is what my Explorer looks like (ignore the shellstyle being at the top - and no thats not the underlying effect as I've tried it with and without the original)

I'm wondering if any other 64 bit users have this issue? It's the only real reason that I don't use 64 bit now, there are also certain system tray icon problems where the network icon gets all funky looking when I reboot. Unfortunately i'm not on x64 at the moment so I cannot take a picture to better describe this issue.

When I saw your post I tried it out on my 64bit Vista and couldn't get the same problem. What skins are you finding this occuring on? If there are more than one please let me know so I can try it out. Also what version of WB6 are you on?

I'm on the latest version of WB6.1 available through Impulse. The address bar problem seems to occur with all themes that have a titlebar height above 23. As for the network system tray icon issue, that happens all around.

I'm begining to wonder if this is an ATi related issue? I've asked around about this and others have said they don't experience it, and they are using nVidia graphic cards.

Ack no edit button..

I'm wondering if installing WB via an EXE rather than through Impulse/SDC might fix this? I've tried installing it through both in the past and i've always ended up with the same results.

I don't have WB installed right now so I can't paste in my info but here is some info on my rig:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Gigabyte EP35-DS3P
ATi Diamond HD 3870
Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1

I should also note that I've expienced this issue with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 rig as well (my previous hardware). The only thing that hasn't changed is my videocard which im begining to wonder if its the cause of the problem?

Hate to tripple post, but im wondering if anyone can reproduce this on a machine with an ATi graphics card? I really don't want to waste an activation trying WB right now when I know what will happen. (:(

I wonder why it's happening to me. :(
What do you use to install WB? Impulse, WB or an exe?

Does anyone have any ideas what could possibly be causing this? Also, Snidely what ATi drivers do you use? And do you install the catalyst control center and all?

sorry, i have been mia for a few days. i'm using the latest ati cat drivers but only the drivers. the control center and other 'features' are worthless to me. and i used impulse to install wb.

Next time I head over to x64 I will try it without the CCC. I noticed there is a bug in both x64/x86 with the CCC where if doesnt seem to like WB themes being applied to it (normal behavior resumes when you select a custom skin from ATI's list in the options), so I wonder if the CCC is the issue. Would be a shame if it is as I do use it often for AA/AF control.

Unfortunately this did not seem to fix the issue. It still persists, with or without the CCC.

I'm still open to suggestions on what may be the root cause of the issue..
