Expandable Struts on TEC Shipyard and Fleetyards...

I wish the game would recognize when I'm building a Sova in the smaller shipyard and cause the struts to expand in a nice animated sequence...   ...or just have the mesh in two parts and detect the mesh size of the ship being built.  Maybe I should suggest it to the people who do the hard-coding  :NOTSURE:

Technically this is possible with enough work using the particle hackaround for animated stuff.

I don't see how. You can animate things with particle systems, but you cannot use those systems in an adaptable way, nor detect anything with it. So it is possible to have an animated shipyard, but that animation would be exactly the same no matter what kind of ship was built.

I just meant the struts expanding, not the detecting of a larger ship. Though now that I think about it, a spawn ability set to the proper mesh point and with a post-spawn buff might work.

Yes, that would work, although I don't know if you can incur resource costs with spawn abilities, haven't looked that up yet.
But something like that is what I have in mind for the Titan construction process for my mod.

You can half the Embargo buff (get rid of the "gaining") and have it drain credits from the planet. Same with resources.
