Tech trading

One thing I would like to see is, on the tech trading, something that allows you to see exactly what you are getting. I generally only play Terrans and Dengin, so I am most familiar with their individual techs. When I go to trade with another race, I am more or less at the mercy of the tech title as to what I am getting. I therefore can't accurately evaluate what I am getting vs what I am giving. Yes I know that there is galactipedia and I can simply play all of the races, but until I do, there is still that problem.
Am I alone in thinking this?
