net framework 2.0 install fails with the error "low memory (low disc space for swapping file) or corrupt cabinet file"

Any Help?

For about two days I try to install a few softwares but they require net framework 2.0,it is autamatically downloaded but every time it starts to install,an error comes up and says "low memory (low disc space for swapping file) or corrupt cabinet file".

I tried many suggestions from many forums but I still get the same error.

Any help will be appreciated...

Thanks....

What were the suggestion from the other forums?

We could just wind up repeating the same suggestions and that wouldn't get you an answer.

What OS?

Home much memory do you have installed, and at what percent are you running at?

How much available space left on you hard drive? Did you increase the size of your swap file?

When is the last time you ran a virus scan or malware scan?

If that's all the info you supplied elsewhere, small wonder you're still looking for a resolution......

That's a good start.

If your system is clean (and I doubt it is), just download/save/run:

xp sp 2 is installed and i have 1 gb ram on my system. There are 10 gb free space on my hard drive.

I didnt increase swap file size,it was 1536 and I didnt change it.

I have Nod32 antivirüs system,i always make scans but no threats found.

I still have the same error.

hubriz yrag is very knowledgeable, damn he is the smart one around here so I would try anything he suggests.

What little I have read indicates that you can not fill up a hard drive and expect things to work. Can you free up more space there?

1GB of ram should be enough for an XP system, but then what are you running? Are you eating up your resources with too many programs opened at one time? Are you running at a high rate of ram usuage?

If you did that and still got the error, it's most likely a disk issue.

Run 'CHKDSK' on your system drive. (right click C drive, Tools, click 'Check Volume for Errors'. It will run on a re-boot.)
