Cannot Load / See some maps

I downloaded a couple new maps (PuppisCanisColumbia and CentarusCruxVela for example), ive added the files in the proper folders and they just do not pop up in my map lists. And i have added other maps before which are working. I have also added another big map part of a map pack and it shows up but when i try and load it i get a dump error and the game crashes. I find this quite irritating because all i want to do is play a massive map but all the ones i have tried either crash or wont show up in my map lists. Any ideas?

For the maps not showing up in the list, open them up in Notepad and make sure versionNumber is set to 1, not 0. These maps are pre-1.03 and need to be manually updated.

I'm not sure on the crashing one, however, is there any more info you can give?

Thanks a lot, that worked great. As for the one that's crashing ill just ignore that one since all the others are working now. Thanks again.

Welcome :) The only thing I can think of as the most likely cause of the crashing one is that it was built with a mod (probably Sins Plus). If the map uses custom made planets and such, when you try to load it without the mod loaded, it would crash.

Just a guess, though.
