Rare high contrast Skin request

Hello, skinners. I am asking those who create. There hasn't been a dark skin with good contrast colors throughout in a long time. I referring to skins similar to

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=2965&libid=1 ---> by ruined%20inc

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=3237&libid=1 -->xp lbc by knattz

or

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=472&libid=1 --->darkknite by mercury

here is an example of what I'm describing. Note the text box, and anywhere there is text that isn't preset by a webpage

there used to be quite a few of these (the ones shown are merely an example of the contrast of dark to light)

Now they are so few it's hard to find them.

Is anyone interested in creating someting up to date with this kind of material? there are quite a few of us oldies with rheumy eyes that would jump at a chance to have a newer blind  that is easy for us to read with.

Thanks, Wulf

If it were not for just a few areas that WB dosnt control font colors...I suspect you would see many more dark skins.

I love them but gave up making them...wasnt worth it. :)

is it new that wb doesn't control certain font colors? or is it something windows did?
is it possible for the designers to consider that when they make the next build?

My eyes are shot too, but I suspect a perfect balance throughout the entire skin is getting harder and harder to find,as more elements are skinned and hardware and software changes. Besides, wulfn1, it gives us a good excuse to use some of the great work from days gone by. :d  I.R.Brainiac, your work speaks for itself. Light,dark, somewhere in-between ,you are an innovator and a true Master.Thanks for sharing them.  :CONGRAT:  :CONGRAT:

No,its always been that way.Some system text and some apps will display black text no matter what you have set for them.(or even some odd text colors in places).

In a dark blind this can render a blind unusable for some situations.MS,WB and most app coders assume everyone will use windows the same...dark text on light backgrounds.

Its not recommended to stray from OS defaults too much.(do as I say,not as I do) :LOL:
