Weather - gone mad!

WTF??? I woke up this morning to 2" of snow. It's April 17th - we don't even get snow in winter these days.

I just dunno about the effect of global warming. Instead of having four seasons, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar and now April all appear to have similar temperatures. Weird stuff.

So far, April has been colder than any of the winter months. Doesn't look as though spring is likely to appear just yet  (:(

Well where Jafo lives, Melbourne, there's often 4 seasons in the one day... might just explain why he has some peculiarities. ;)

I need to move somewhere that is cold most of the time or hardly ever gets hot or has temps above 70 degrees. Summers are killing me.

Where I am, Ipswich Australia, we have been getting from one extreme to the other. The night before last, we had 7c... after a daytime high temp of 29c As winter progresses here the variations can become even greater.... a few years back, we regularly had below zero temps at night/early morning, only to reach into the high 20's low 30's by mid-afternoon... the greatest extreme being minus 6c to 27c. Hopefully this year will not produce such extremes cos it's flu weather... and mrs starkers never fails to get it. :)

Yep, here in Colorado it's weird too. Lovely sunny hot day 82f on Tuesday but on Wednesday we had snow and it hardly got above 30f all day. A 50 degree change in about 12 hours. That's the Rockies for you and living at over 3,500 above sea level.

Hey, Starkers - Ipswich in Oz. I used to live in Ipswich in the UK. Uncanny  :)

Fuzzy, you stole the words right out of my mouth!! If it doesn't straighten up soon I'm gonna end up in therapy!! Or their gonna have to change my medication!! I've been working for 5 years to prepare to go to the PGA Champions Tour Qualifying school this fall and thus far I've probably missed at least 10-12 weeks of quality practice. I'm actually starting to feel panicky!!! It's raining and about 60 degrees here now and tomorrow it's supposed to be cloudy wet with a HIGH of about 60 with NORTH winds. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!

99% of the world uses celsius, it's only your little backwater which uses F ;)
However, a simple conversion table for you...

-40C = -40F
-30C = -22F
-20C = -4F
-10C = 14F
0C = 32F
10C = 50F
20C = 68F
30C = 86F
40C = 104F
50C = 122F

Freezing point (of water at sea level) is 0C, boiling point is 100C. Couldn't be more simple ;)

West Chester Pa is 80-84F today. 80F on Saturday and down to 57F on Sunday. I'd say 23 degrees is a pretty good drop in 12 hours.

All I know is it's gotten warm enough in NY for the ice cream stands to be open and my air conditioner to be running again ;)

Of course the way it goes around here some years that could all change by next week.

Today we had it all except a thunder storm. We had snow, ice, rain, freezing rain, hail and sunshine. When I went home there was an inch of hail on the ground.

I worked all day out in the crazy weather. Very cold here.
