error retrieving data

from Stardock Forums
Hello,  I just installed the Object Desktop package and can't seem to install windows blinds.  It gives me an 'error retrieving data' message.  Is there something corrupted I can delete to try again?  Anything would help, thanks.

Are you using Stardock Central to install?  https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/

That should resolve most problems.

I'm using VISTA, and using IMPULSE to install everything. Looks like sdcentral doesn't support VISTA 9home premium).

Where does impulse store the files to download? It seems like something like this means (a downloaded bit) is corrupt. Anyone else?

Impulse and SDC both work with Vista.

Are you getting an error downloading or installing?
Anything in the log here?  C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\Temporary\impulse-errorlog.txt

Ok, then, maybe I'll try SDC. I don't have a folder "Temporary" at all in that path. The only error I get is in Impulse where it says "error retrieving data"

I've delted all my temp files and rebooted several times but still get the error message.

I'll try SDC next.

gaH, Stardock central can't even find my registration information correctly; doesn't give me the option of downloading windowsblinds at all; when I paste my reg. info in there it says it's invalid. I deleted that crap and I'm back with impulse. At least impulse seems to be working correctly except for windows blinds.
