Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

The ultimate combo mod, the "unoffical" expansion of Sins of a Solar Empire, or so it has been dubbed by the mod community.

5 Colonizable Stars - you colonize the moons that orbit them

New classes of strikecraft squadrons and Capitalships/Dreadnoughts/Titans with fixed number of Squadrons
Cruiser Squads of 3 strikecraft
Capital Squadrons of 6 strikecraft; largely used by Hangars
Titan Wings of 9 strikecraft; also used by Starbases

 

Mobile Starbases -all races possess starbases that can move about the gravity well to interdict enemy forces -assault carefully.

 

12 Playable Races with their own traits that make them more unique, from being a total offensive race, to a highly researching race. Each race now has its own unique tactics of gameplay.

Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might
Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

There is no quick fix from 2.1 for sins 1.05 to sins 1.19 !!!

First, you need to switch the cl alpha channel with the da red chanel for all texture !!! This only is a huge job... at the code level, several patch have add/modify the code...

Downgrade the 2.5 alpha from Entr to usual sins 1.19 is not a option too...

Buy Entrenchment and be patient for the release of 2.5 ( if you have no patience, buy Entrenchment and become playtester of the Alpha )...

Since the two last update, it is included... before, it was in the Stardock modtols... don't remember what version is needed for sins 1.05 and where it is possible to download it now...

thoumsin, the dev.exe's have been included with the game since sins 1.16/entrenchment 1.02 to the best of my memory, and they ARE in the program files\...\sins of a solar empire folder, but for the sins 1.05 dev exe I have not seen it anywhere.

i also wanted to add that i used the same install files on my laptop as i did on my desktop and i was able to run a full game with settings on low and medium across the board. my laptop is running vista 32 bit rather than win 7 64 bit, and i think thats where the problems are coming from more than anything because my desktop is WAAAAY more powerful than my laptop

laptop specs: 2g ram, geforce 8400GS 128mb, intel T7200 core 2 duo 2.0ghz vista home 32-bit.

im going to request playtest status today on the danman boards and see if anyone can host the 1.05 developer.exe on filefront or something for me so i can run it on my desktop and get you the log files to look at.

Yes, it is always hosted on the Stardock site... later, newer version of the SinsModPackage have be called ForgeTools... inside, you have everything needed : convertdata, convertxsi, dev exe, particule forge, galaxy forge, and the reference data for sins 1.05 ...

Devman133, if you wish host it on filefront in case that the download will not be possible in the future, first ask Stardock about it... the license in the dev exe directory say : "You are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the SOFTWARE as you wish and distribute it to anyone provided that all files are intact." ... but i am not sure if it apply to the full mod package or only the dev exe part...

Have granted you the playtester status on the DMG forum... if you have a log file from the dev exe, post it there, you can directly attach it to you post ( don't need to put the file somewhere else )... if possible, zip it since they are huge text files...

About 2.1 issue, it can be related to the rogue faction... try a game without them ( not human or AI being rogue )... there is some problem with the shield research... have try it myself, over the shield research icon for the rogue lead to a crash... if you have crash without rogue, it is maybe related to win7 x64...

If i cannot find a solution for your problem, just remember that i am only a modeler... i try to help other because i like challenge but i am far to become a coder... the few problem or the few "it is impossible" that i have resolve are not due to my skill but to my thinking outside the box... and my fail are numerous too :p

Very important about the dev exe... when you run it for the first time, it reset your config file... and you will have a lot of error message but very few are critical ! In fact, i think that these dev exe is the best thing that Stardock/Ironclad have create for sins mod... after a crash ( or no crash ), the log is located in your users/loval setting/ application/ etc ...

Don't hesitate to test the other mod hosted there... like the BSG mod, the B5 mod, the Halo mod ( soon to be released ), the EvilTesla pirate mod ( EvilTesla is like a king for create original ability/code ), etc ... in fact, the Danman plan is to include the best of all these mod in the future 7DS 3.0 ( 2011 or later )...

I played the rogue faction ... I very much like the rogue ships nice work especially the assassin...(kinda looks like a dark Star distroyer) but it still looks sexy .... the only prob i found with the mod is the rogue research tree on sheilds... ( as long as you dont mose over the icon it will not dump ...( took 8 times of crashin to narrow it down) As for the rest of the races.... No probs found .... GREAT WORK!  Cant wait to play the entrenchment mod ... Keep it up guys

It is a know bug... problem is that 2.1 have no more support, so a patch will never come...

Cant wait to play the entrenchment mod ...

For the playtester, around one week ago, the 7DS 2.5 alpha H for Entrenchment 1.05 was released... this is a closed alpha... you need to register on the DMG forum, request the playtester status, and e-mail Danman for the info related to the alpha... with playtester and the alpha, lifesync is used... mean that if Danman correct a file, modify something or add a file, you own version will be upgraded life... maybe next stage will be a beta !

this mod is stupid most of the ships are just edited versions of things already in the game,one of the ships is just a kostura cannon that can move,another one is just a giant version of the advent's trade drone,and another one is just a slight;y edited vasari battle ship with white skin

From what version of the mod are you speaking ? The last official release called 7DS 2.1 and who is more that one year old or the 7DS 2.5 Alpha... for the last, a lot of new models was included... and some are WIP not yet included...

I think that a lot of mod follow a similar way... first the code ( entity, ability, etc ) using sins models... later, modeler and texturer replace them with own creation...

Go to http://danmangames.com/forums/index.php , register and take a look at all mods who are part of our modding group... better, request the playtester status and ask access to the 7DS alpha, you will see that it have change a lot...

For information, in a lot of case, the use of sins mesh was not a choice... maybe you have ear of the hardcoded mesh and texture limit... only recently, a little before the release of diplomacy, these mesh and texture limit was doubled by Stardock/Ironclad...

Can't download the mod from your website, download stops as soon as I get 20 mb's into it. Is there another download like, all I saw there was something about paypal so I'm confused, is this mod supposed to be paid for or is the link bad idk? Someone help please lol, can't get the download like to continue after 20 mb's have been downloaded.

No, the mod remain free... the difference is in the download speed... non paid members will have slow speed and paid members will have high speed... this is something similar to the numerous "free" hosting who have free download account with low speed or premium one with high speed...

A the time being, all the problems are not yet resolved with the server... there is somebody working on it but only Dan can give more informations... but he is really busy with debugging 7DS 2.5 with a bunch of good playtesters...
