Can I play without Ip forwarding at college university?

Hey, I've seen videos, reviews, and even have downloaded the demo for sins of a solar empire, and I defintly want to buy it.  The only thing I'm worried about, is if I'd be able to play it at school.  Games like Maplestory, Dofus, and Gunbound work without problem.  But Dawn of War which also asks for port forwarding does not work.  So is there anyway to check if it'll work before I buy it?  I would hate to spend $40 only to find out I can't play online.

Sins does require port forwarding to host games. Joining them only requires that traffic on ports 6000/6112 are not blocked entirely, which may or may not be the case in your situation.

We are planning to include NAT-Traversal in an upcoming update though, so it should make it possible for the game to 'tunnel' past most setups. I'm not sure if that would still work in situations where the ports are completely firewalled though, we'll have to wait and see.
