Latest Version?

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy DesktopX Pro.

Please could someone clarify what the latest version is?

Stardocks website seems to be a complete mess as some pages reference 2.4 as the latest version, some point to 3.2 and another shows 3.5 "to be released this month" back in August 2007.

As there are refernces to 3.5 in this forum I presume that that is the latest version but on all the purchase options it shows the version as 3.0.

Perhaps I am just missing something but seems that a tidy up is needed and the versions clarified.

The latest "release" version is 3.2..something

Object Desktop subscribers have access to the latest BETA-Release Candidate version which is 3.49f[rc].017

I'm guessing the purchase shows that way because when you buy you'll get all the updates for version 3 until 4 is released.

Perhaps you should change the page stating that verion 3.5 is coming this month as it is dated August 2007.

I must add though that it is very difficuly for people browsing your site as to what the latest versions of the software and this goes for all products. The history pages do not tie up with the release versions well and potential buyers visiting the Forums can only get more confused. Perhaps it would be prudent to have a sticky on each Forum to state the latest retail and beta versions.
