Dreamscene Not Working.

Iam using vista ultimate.I bought it about 4 days ago.I downloaded the dream scene extra through the update.It worked perfectlly till yesterday.now i dont know wats the problem but mpg and dream files dont work.only wmv files work.
i dont think it can be my video adapter as it worked for 2 days.when i double click dream files my wall paper becomes black but when i use wmv files it works.
someone please help!

Sounds like you lost your codec.
I used http://www.cccp-project.net/ when I lost mine . . but I am a Vista Business user.  YOu shouldn't have lost yours.

What else have you installed recently?

(You can use teh above codec and it should fix your problem)

Older versions of Nero has been known to install codecs that interfer with Dreamscene. I would look at anything that you installed recently that would have installed it's own video codecs to be suspect.
I suggest that once you get your system stable, you should create a complete system backup with the backup and restore center that comes with Vista Ultimate. Since I constantly add new software, it has saved me a few times when a program didn't play nice with Vista. Just uninstalling a incompatible program sometimes doesn't get rid of it or the problem it created nor will system restore. At those times, I find that a complete system restore from a backup is the only way to fix it other than a reinstall of the operating system.
