Updating a very old WB skin

I have a favorite WB skin (Juice) that was created in 2002, but I would like to update it in Skin Studio, for my own personal use. I have never created a WB skin, so this is all new to me. Can anyone point me to an tutorials about updating a skin?  I'm pretty sure that additional graphics will be needed, so how does one go about creating new graphics to match elements from the older one, considering it was created by someone else?

I don't (yet) have the newest SS downloaded, but will do so shortly. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.  :)

I know you said you want to update the skin for your personal use, but I still would suggest contacting the original skinner if they are still around. I bet you they would be more then willing to assist you. It's worth a try.  ;)

End of quote

Some times depending on what it needed you can use existing images to fashion a new piece. Or start trying to build a new part with applications like Paintshop,Gimp, etc.

You can try here for Tutorials on skinning and such..

WC Wiki

And Yes I would attempt asking the Author if possibly they may be interested in helping or at least offering permission for you to upload the updated skin. :)

Have fun and keep us updated :)

Thanks for your replies, and the wiki link (keep forgetting about that). I sent DS-CUSTOMZ an email a long time ago, asking if he was planning to update the skin. He did reply, and if I remember correctly, he said something like he was planning to. I'll try emailing again, if the email is still valid. Oh, and I was definitely NOT intending to upload anything *if* I can manage to do this, since it probably wouldn't be good enough for general consumption.  ;p

Thanks again guys

Edit: I can't find an email for him now.  :NOTSURE:
