Help! UI Problem

Ok, I think I hit some key command accadentally. Anyway, when I go to the build menu for any structure, and I click on something to build, it automatically places the structure for me in some random location. I have reinstalled the game as well as attempted to delete any leftover config files, and I still have the same problem.

There is an Option Auto place Structures in the Game Settings i think.

i haven't found it, i found Auto place Resource things, but not everything else.... its odd cuz it was working fine a bit ago, but now i have no control over where my beam defences are built

It's on the bottom bar. Just to the left of the picture that shows the currently selected unit/faction symbol is two buttons. The bottom one allows you to ping a planet. The top one is the one you are looking for. It toggles auto-placing of structures on and off.
