How often have I gone to game messege boards and have seen the question,"What's everyone playing?"
It usually turns out that the folks on the boards are playing two or more at a time..
I truly believe it's because most games today are lacking in the qualities that keep one glued to the computer..repetion seems to be the watch word along with cutting edge graphics requiring the latest video cards.
For me my last great addiction was Alpha Centauri...wow..something to do all the time without repetition.
No matter what genre that you see in the pc game world most follow the same old formulas..that or it's a constant set of sequels...
How about something that's constantly giving a player something new to do as you progress through the game. remember "Black And White."While not totally successful at least it was a good try..Maybe it's because i'm getting much older so i expect more quality on the market.
How many of us have bought a ton of games without ever finishing them due to plain old boredom..mmany start out well but get old fast..
Oh well...I'll just keep waiting.
