Good/Evil and changing your morals

I was wondering about this back in the beta, but everytime I was here, I'd always forget to ask it. So this morning I was playing (before going to work, so that shows my priorities 
), and I've decided to try an evil, warfarring game. The evil part came quite quickly, and I had to save and go to work. But it got me thinking again about this, there are enough moral events in the game, so is it theoretically possible to switch from evil to good? I know we talked about the "speed" at which it takes to become evil versus good, ie easier to be evil then good. But what about having a "change of heart". And if it is possible, how long would it take for the other races views of you to change (or would it even happen)?
