Why do you say that I "must have missed out the first time..."? I was around then, and thought that he was guilty of it then, as well. Only this time, I am even more convinced! Why would you pay somebody MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, if, in your heart and in all honesty, you knew that you were not guilty? Remember when Oprah Winfrey went to court a few years back, because she said on her show that she would never eat another hamburger in her life, (due to the (then) recent reports of Mad Cow disease) and the cattle ranchers got all bent out of shape because the next day the sale of beef dropped, as if every cow around was "mad"? She made a statement, after she went to court (and won her case, thank you!) about how she felt regarding the accusations and how she would approach the case... she said that she was confident that justice would be served, that she had done no wrong and was not trying to hurt the beef market, and that all she could do was just tell the truth, AND THE TRUTH WILL PREVAIL. I agree with her 100%! Telling the truth is the easiest way to go, and you don't have to remember any stories when you tell the truth. You don't need to get defensive, cause distractions in a court of law, have memory lapses, get your family and friends to put in a good word for you, as well as host a party at your home with 600 strangers (fans) that all say "he didn't do it! we love you Michael.) If he told the truth, he would not need to justify his actions, compare his actions with other circumstances, or try and rationalize it all. If he told the truth, he wouldn't need to have "confidentialty orders/agrreements" with all of his employees. If Michael Jackson told the truth, then it would be clear to all that he is a very disturbed individual, that has no business hanging with kids, AT ALL. Yes, his career would be ruined; but, to quote one his own titles, "Too Bad". I don't think it would realistic to imprison him with other inmates, because in reality that would be nothing more than a death sentence-- inmates beat and kill child molesters, as we saw when Jeffrey Dahmer was locked up. Imposing a fine on him would be no good, and the death sentence a bit extreme. Locking him up in some sort of low security, solitary cell for many many many years would be tragic, but it's even more tragic to let a man that has molested several boys over a period of 20 or so years, remain free, and raising his own (he bought them, they're his now!) children. All these folks that say "Michael would never do that, not him!" as if he is the most normal guy around need to get some Visine, and clear their eyes for starters! He's got some serious issues, that cannot be ignored. Again, I encourage you all to read the Vanity Fair acticle that I mentioned in my original post. Send me your email address, and I can email you the article in Adobe Acrobat format (.pdf), if you'd rather not truck down to your local library(though a trip to the library is always good for ya!).
Re: the other reply to my original post about M.J. being the most important entertainer of the last century... yes, you mentioned some talented people and groups as well, most of which I would say are not eligible for my said title, simply because they are groups or involve more than one person. What I was trying to convey was the way that Michael as one person, has managed to affect the entire world, be it with his style of clothes, hair, overall look; the dance influence and many fads that spun off of him; the music he has put out for the past 30+ years... the way he influenced music television/videos(MTV) and the mini movie types of productions he has created. Let's not forget Captain Eo,while we're at it! What I was saying, is that this one person has made so many accomplishments, and gotten so much recognition, and created so much reaction in his career, that no one else really comes to mind when thinking of the sheer magnitude of influences/affects. Have you seen that footage of his fans, in these absolutely enormous stadiums... they're like peeing on themselves, crying, screaming, passing out, hysterical to put it nicely. Yes they peed for Elvis to wiggle his hips... and the jaws dropped for Paul and John and Ringo, and yes George too... but not the way they do or have done for Michael. Picasso has some fine paintings, indeed, but no pee for him, sorry. I am not saying that "I love Michael Jackson, so you can just shut up, 'cuz he's the greatest thing since Wonder Bread (he kinda resembles Wonder Bread-hee-hee!) so you'd better just shut up he's the best, my favorite, he's the King of Pop, and he cansing better than anybody, and he's the best dancer in the world, and blah, blah, blah blah, blah..." I don't exactly think he has the best voice, or best style(s), per se, I am just saying that there's no one other person (entertainer) that has left such a mark in all of society in the 1900's. That's all I meant by the "most important" comment. Thanks to you people who shared your comments.
And I close with these words, "VANITY FAIR APRIL 2003" ( "Losing His Grip")
