Suggestion: Metaverse Sub
from
Stardock Forums
Judging from some of the responses in my "Complaint" thread, I guess I wasn't alone in my preference to small maps.
Many of the posters in that thread said that they loved playing small or medium galaxies, but this ruled out any competition in the Metaverse. A small map victory doesn't count as much as a gigantic map.
Here's a suggestion:
Create new metaverse sub-classifications such as "Small", "Medium", and "Large".
Every score submitted will add to the overall point total (like they do now), but they would also be added to the Metaverse sub-class score pertaining to the winning map's size.
EX. I win on a small map with a score of 500. My overall point total increases by 500, but my "small galaxy" point total increases by 500 too.
This would allow people who abhor larger galaxies to compete with each other in the metaverse.
