... i'm far too whiny to be a boy !

hello, my name is miggy, and i am a girl.

whilst that may not be news to some of you, it has come to my attention that we have a spate of female ju users whose screen names have caused other ju users to call them 'bro', 'mate', 'dude' or (my very own personal favourite) 'that mignuna guy".

whilst recently commenting in a blog by 'shadesofgrey', i noticed a similar phenomenon. shades crafted a very intelligent point, and it made everyone assume she was a man !. i mentioned this in my comment to her, and was rewarded by her response that maybe she should "change my name to shadesofpink" !.

and the trend continues. the lovely new blogger 'ravenblack' was clever enough to be confused for a man by none other than sal and myself !.

and the fact that i habitually end the majority of my comments with typed 'kissies' has probably been frankly scary for some of the male users on ju. i imagine a reaction something like this: "yuck. some guy named mignuna just said i was lovely in my blog and left me some kisses. i think he's hitting on me. ewwwwwww !"

so chickies, if you are tired of being called a boy for exercising your babelicious brain, come forward and declare your er, girliness. or something. and shades, don't worry about changing your screen name anytime soon. we can just keep calling each other 'bro'. i'm kind of getting used to it, anyway ;)

Lol I missed this one! My nick is simply generic. I am male.

Interesting.. one or two I thought you ladies were male.

With a name like Floozie, I doubt anybody has ever mistaken me for a man!

Shades - I don't know why, but something about your writing makes me think that you're a guy - a very cool one at that - but a guy all the same. I have to keep reminding myself that you're actually one of those rare and incredibly cool chicks who are able to get their point across without having to make reference to their gender, unless necessary. Wish I could be like that!

Thanks for the compliment , Suz. I find it interesting to hear how other people perceive my writing--I often think I sound like a whiney, prissy girl.
