How to de-commission a ship

After a while in the game you have a lot of ships you no longer need. Is there a way to get rid of them?

Ummm...there's a button and a key command but neither has code associated with it. In the meantime, you could always send them on suicide missions like I do. :)

Ooh, that's so lame. ;)

We really do need to implement that. Seriously.

I want to be able to do a pShip->Destroy(); (I think that's in there actually but I'm not sure how well it works).

It should work now that I've re-worked how the ships get destroyed...we'll have to test it, of course, to make sure that there aren't any additional things we have to do.

A suicide mission of ram an enemy planet and attempt to damage it / destroy an improvement could be cool!

Maybe a bit unrealistic though, small ship versus huge planet.

well, you could probably do a fair amount of damage by deliberately crashing into a city but it'd be kinda pointless because you could only do it if the planet was undefended and then you would want to take over the planet.
