They can't read our thoughts now...
Nuff said, I think....
They did it all by themselves...they came down to my room last night and said they had something to show me, and then opened the door and stood there looking at me. I about wet my pants laughing!!!
....I am cracking up....this is SO something my girls would do. I'll have to share this pic with them, see if it leads to anything. Today they warmed and bent crayons into letter shapes to make plaques for me and Barry that say MOM and DAD.
You have weird kids.
Yes I do, and I'm very proud of them!
Keep up the good work
With me for their mom...well, the poor little buggers don't stand a chance of 'normality'!
You have weird kids. Keep up the good work.
And this surprises you WHY exactly?
....Karen, you know I love you, right? And weird can be a GOOD thing...at least that's what I keep telling my kids when they tell me that I am weird!!
Karen, you know I love you, right?
Yes, and the feeling is entirely mutual....and weird is great as far as they're concerned. They have been raised in a...ahem...non traditional household. They're actually kind of proud of our familial 'strangeness'.
cool pic, cute kids.
Why, thank you! Good to see you here....!
Their brother, who chose not to partake in the tinfoil hattery, has asked me to post this picture of him to show that he's "weird" too:
Your kids are just as silly and funny as mine!
How many and how old? Got any stories?!

Okay, it's official...they are all three weird...and wonderful!
I am impressed with their adaptability, they live 2100 miles away but never doubt how much thay are loved.
That obviously has a lot to do with YOU and how you show them they are loved....my older two, 18 and 14, live only 250 miles from their father, yet haven't seen him in 10 months or heard from him in two and a half. So I applaud you for making sure that your children feel the love.

No matter what happens, my kids know that their Dad and I love them...it sounds like yours are the same way.

dharma, you should find out how to knit one. your fortune is made !!!
Actually, I have a pattern for what I call 'Umbilical Cord' hats for infants and preemies that has the little 'stalk' on the top of it....it wouldn't take much adaptation to make bigger, and I can get metallic silver yarn....wow, I may be able to corner the market for those! Just imagine...no more wearing scratchy tin foil hats, Dharma's knitted silver hats work just was well and they're softer and more durable too!
And yes I can see where they get their weirdness from! But who says it's a bad thing?| Actually, I have a pattern for what I call 'Umbilical Cord' hats for infants and preemies that has the little 'stalk' on the top of it....it wouldn't take much adaptation to make bigger, and I can get metallic silver yarn....wow, I may be able to corner the market for those! It's not a bad thing, really...I always said that I wanted to raise independent, free thinking kids who weren't afraid to be 'different'...and that's exactly what they're turning out to be.
Miggy: I've been thinking for a while about starting to sell these hats but I just never had an outlet for them. Now that we're moving to a more metropolitan and boemian area I might be able to find a market for them..and if I can't, then there's always eBay!

i think it would be difficult to see your workmanship on ebay, though.
You're absolutely right, which is why I haven't listed any of my items on there before now. I think I'm going give knitted items as gifts for Christmas this year - hopefully word of mouth will get me some orders.
I think I'm going to limit myself to hats, mittens, scarves and bags. Sweaters take too damn long and are a pain in the ass.
