this friend's name is wes. Link
anywho, it made me think, as does listening to anyone or reading anything or really anything...ever. and i thought, what do people really think of me? and im not saying this in a narcastitic way or a self-conscience "no one loves me" kind of way. im saying this in a "what do people think when they see me or talk to me or talk about me" way. just a study in human behavior with me as the subject. after all, i believe in a jesse (sld6)-centric world. *cough*......
the butthole surfers said it best in the song "pepper": you never know just how you look through other people's eyes.
you see someone once in passing and you make a judement without even knowing you are making a judgement. you meet someone at a party or on a bus or in class; just enough to talk for a few minutes. your view of them changes a bit...whether you are conscience or not. then you really get to know someone and you're view changes even more. so, with you not even knowing what you are always thinking about others, how are they supposed to know what you think of them?
you can ask a friend...what about this? what about that? but even if they tell you the truth, its in their words and not in your head so you dont get the feeling they get when they think those words about you. not to mention, thats in the best case scenerio.
so i was talking to another friend the other day and she has this whole "oh my god, people care what i wear and how my make-up is" complex. its a borderline poor self-image. and it doesn't make sense to me. because, as stated above, you never know what people are thinking about you. it still weirds me out when someone starts a conversation "me and so-and-so were talking about you...." people dont talk about me. people dont know i exist when im not there. when i close my eyes the world goes away. why would i expect any different from others. yes, i talk about people all the time. ive mentioned two people just in this article....but thats ok because they arent me. but let's get back to this friend...she has this deal and i dont get it. cause the best i can do is think what i would think if i were the person looking at me. and i think im pretty damn cool so all is good.
i know this has developed into a hap-hazard ramble. but damnit, how are we supposed to approach a topic this is so nonlinear with linear thought? i dont approach much with linear thought. hehe
so this is just my long-winded starter to get people to talk about how they think people are viewed and how they themselves are viewed and if you think about it much....yeah.
and everyone wished they were jeff goldblum with full-sleeve tattoos.
