Why aren't the replies to posts sorted by last entry?

It makes reading new posts so much easier.

Huh? I'm using SDC now, which allows me to alter the sort by topic name, poster, update time, and # of replies, as I wish, but I'm reasonably certain that when using my browser the list was sorted by most recent reply, with only stickies exempt from that.
