Hi! I need help with something.

I just got GalCiv, and I am very impressed. Phenomenal game. I just have one question. Whenever I speak with any major race, I see no way to make an alliance or a peace treaty. The only treaty available seems to be the attack treaty. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Thanks for the help.

Peace Treaty: only available/required if you are already at war with that race.

Alliance: requires that both you and that race have researched the Alliance tech, and requires that the relationship between your races be "Close" -- until those conditions are met, the Alliance option won't appear on the negotiating screen. Even then, it may take some negotiating skill/bribery to convince the AI to ally with you.

Frogboy, if you read this, could please post/sticky something titled "How to Form an Alliance"? I've answered this question 3 times in 24 hours now.
