Resolution bug

There is a strange irony in the fact that the information guide says that GalCivII can seamlessly transfer from resolution to resolution.

Basically, I tried Dark Avatar, played it for a while, changed the resolution, and was never able to play it again.

I tried that with TA, same thing. Can anyone help?

You didn't really describe what it was doing. The game can run at about any resolution imaginable, but it usually also needs to be your desktop resolution.

Pardon my vagueness.

My desktop resolution is 1440x900, but the game was at the default 1080xsomething setting. I think I tried to change it to the highest setting, which was 1200xsomething, but now, whenever I open the game, I just get a big black square. When I force quit, I get the 'send error report' message.

ahh yea, the black square thing. If the resolution you want is not in the dropdown then go into MyDocuments/MyGames/GC2DarkAvatar or TwilightArnor and find the prefs.in file. Open it with note pad and manually change the display height and width to 1440x900 and save it. That should fix you up. btw thats the resolution I run at also
