This game is so damn great, its hard to describe. After playing just a couple games on a small, single star system, and spending over an hour on just 5 planets, I am hooked. After going into custom maps, and realizing that 5 planets was actually tiny on the grand scheme of things, I am totally boggled. This game has such a huge scale it is unbelievable. I thought five planets was though, and then I saw the multi-star games. Oh my god. Anyway, just a simple expression of my first opinions of the game, and how I am recently hooked on one of the best strategy games to date.

heh, i have a similar first time experience.

4v4 ffa on a medium map, 1 star system, about 12 planets. i started 3 or 4 pm and im still playing the damn thing, whats worse....I DIDNT NOTICE THE TIME! i thought it was only an hour when i looked at the clock is said 8 pm!. and im not even halfway through. i barely have half the map conquered...and it looks like im gonna loose a few more planets.

maybe its because i have slow game speed and slow research speed on =P...should try normal speed next game.

I put all my games on slow research. Speed is ok, I'll would like a slider for the build speed as well. The over all game speed can stay the same.

I like slow and long drawn out games, one of the mods i had planned for my Sin's Enhanced series is to drastically slow down most gameplay elements, will probably also make one for those that likes really fast gameplay too eventually.

The first part of the series deal with graphical enhancements to space, check out the out of game screen shots in this thread.

Hi

Bought game about 10 hours ago, and can't stop playing :). Great game indeed, but I was suprised that there are only 3 races, which is pretty small for a 4x game.

I don't know if it's just me but vasari voice style sounds like they were bunch of pirates not an ancient evil race. I thing that races could slightly differ from each other as well.
