A few questions

Hello!

First I want to say hello to everyone, as I am new here. So hello! I am a long time Master of Orion II fan from Finland and I have been playing it since the release. What is it, ten years now? Anyway, I just found this game and I thought it sounds cool. It is also 4x game like MOO2. So is there a demo coming? I'd like buy this, but I would like to test it first, as I have earlier bought very nice sounding games that end up being a pile of crap (Hellgate: London. I got so flagshipped  :( ).

Also, I do know that this game has been already released, but I am not sure where. So is it only available in America and as a download or is it already available in Europe, where I live? For those who have already bought it, how does it feel so far? There are very few reviews so far, and I appreciate if someone could say a little about this.

Looking forward to buy the game! Cheers!

Can't answer much, but from what I've read here there will be a demo due in about a month. Also, there's no european publisher (and no copies in store) so it's only available in retail in the US and (from April I think) Australia as far as I know. The latter case at leasts opens up the possibility of import into the UK/Europe from Hong Kong retailers like CD-Wow. Also, Stardock will ship the (boxed; $50) collectors edition to europe ($20 UK, not sure on elsewhere).

Word of mouth I've heard so far has been very positive, also - hence why I'm here :). That, and i'm bored at work...

Aldo is correct :)

If you don't care about a box, you can also buy a digital download only version from Stardock and download it right away. Since all Stardock orders are automatically CE, you'll also get to download a music cd and pdfs of some goodies.

That sucks... Is there any plans on getting a european publisher? If so, what is the timeframe?

Yarlen had plans to revisit all the Euro publishers now that the game launched and the publishers get their head on straight and see that it's selling well.

But right now, there's nothing definite.
