After the success on the Troll Thumping Day Suite some members of the Mother Thumpers are coming together to create the "Happy Birthday Suit(e)".

I envision this suite centered around a DX gadget that counts down to your birthday. On your birthday the gadget will prompt you to download the most recent incarnation of the suite components so for your special day, your desktop will celebrate with you.

At this point we have some components assigned to artists but this is a collaborative project and welcome input and assistance from everyone. Please jump in and help out if you'd like.

Nice balloons, 2of3! sAARGe, I think it would look more cheerful with a lighter color instead of the gray. All in all, though, it looks great!

Is the May 6 still the launch date?

Today is the launch date . . . but we're missing a lot of components.  Looks like life got in the way of some of our artists.
This doesn't mean we have failed . . it just means we missed the deadline.

I'm waiting to hear back from some folks and we'll see if I can get the missing pieces done.


Upload what you have completed to the gallery in the appropriate section.

Title it "Birthday Suit(e) [Dock/dream/Wall/etc]"

Please mention this post (and link) in your description.  Credit the "Birthday Suit(e) authors" for the shared artwork.

I'm one of the guilty ones........I'll try to finish by the end of the week.

For some reason PSP XI locks up whenever it loses focus on my office computer. I get most of my skinning done here during breaks, lunch and before office hours. Too many distractions at home.........

I'm not blaming anyone.  If there is any fault, it's mine for managing poorly.  But I hate nagging volunteers.  :)

That gives me time to do another dream.
Once a wall is done, I can add 2of3's balloons to it and some scrolling text.

sAARGe...now that I have an idea of what you were looking for, let me know if you need more png's of those blasts in different sizes. Perhaps when they first start and are small and bright?

almost done. I do have a request.

Anyone have icons or toolbar icons for the suite. I'd like to use image files for the Winamp buttons and for the pledit.bmp stuff too

I'd like to get it done tonight.
