how do you do the missions?

i started playing this game with an ally because i am scared i might get my ass kicked !
but after a few minutes into the game my ally kept giving me missions. the missions are not even specifics!

it is always like destory (race) ships. i get very confused because sometimes they have tons of SHIPS AND PLANETS.... how do i complete my missions? i can't just genocide them in like 15 minutes or something

help ! plz thx !

If you want to have an ally permanently, make sure that when you set up the game, you turn locked teams on. I don't think you'll have to do missions then.

If you like getting the missions and want to complete them, you'll have to build up enough ships to do what they say - if they want you to take out 5 enemy ships, you'll need a big enough force to do that. It might take a little time.

it doesn't even say how many ships i have to destory ! and sometimes it tells me i have to destory a building. then what if the enemy have more than 5 of the building? do i have to destory them all? it doesn't even tell me where i have to kill the enemy ships or buildings either......>_<

You can't specifically, however once you're at good relations with an AI, you can select one of their units and give them requests to attack/defend at places of your choosing.
