fleets still won't move

At SDC my version shows as 1.80g.100

In the Registry is shows as 1.80g.100

Fleet ships are hosed up pathfinding. They will not move in
fleets, but move ok as single ships.

What do I do?? This is a really an irratating bug!

What version does it say in the main menu in-game?

I'm having the same issue. For me its version 1.80e Dark Avatar on the main menu.

ok, mine says 1.80e also. So we have to edit the registry and change it to 1.7 I guess, which then we can reupdate the game to 1.80g.100.

Should it be changed to 1.7e in the Registry setting?

I had this selfsame problem on 1.80g100, so I changed the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Version

to 1.70 and then updated via SDC, then rebooted.

Works fine now.
