Seeing tech details in trade screen?

I believe my answer is probably no on this, but is there any way that you can check out the details of techs that are being traded in the trade screen? I'm thinking of how Civ3 works in that respect.

I sometimes just don't know if I am getting a deal or not, just because I cannot tell the difference (yet) between a low level tech in one area and a high level tech in another.

If there isn't a way, I will probably post this out to the suggestions thread.

I sure would like this option too. Right now I haven't played the game enough to know if I'm trading a higher tech for a lower one when the AI offers a trade. (To be truthful, it's unlikely that I HAVE a tech higher than the AI the way I'm stumbling though the game!

) Still, I'd like to be able to bring up a quick description, even if it's limited to what the tech leads to.

This game needs a GalCivilopedia, ala the Cilvilopedia in the Civilization line of games, with hyperlinks from wherever a tech or game concept is mentioned. After over 10 games I am still baffled by most technologies, I usually have no idea what I am trading away in diplomacy. Takes too long to alt-tab out of the game and pull up info on a web site just to see what a tech is.
