Bootskins won't work

Hi, I am a new user, I bought the Object Desktop suite and everything seems to work just fine except bootskins.  No matter what I do, they don't show on boot.  The progarm loads, it previews, it applys, but nothing happens on boot.  Logon works great, themes work great, widgets, icons, etc.  all work, but not bootskins.  I am using Win XP Pro.  Please help, thank you.

If it helps any, I am running an nVidia nForce 680i SLI board, the eVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1. I'm seeing that certain BIOS won't work with bootskins, does anyone know if this board has one of those BIOS? Thanks for your help.

It is the system BIOS that will not allow Bootskin to work. On the Bootskin download page there are 2 alternative versions, if none work then you are out of luck.

Bootskin became unsupported a long time ago

Due to different BIOS, it doesn't work for everyone - for some it works, for some it locks up on boot, fro some just doesn't seem to do anything

There are 3 version, if one doesn't work, try another

it's never worked for me - but at least it never locked me up :)

It's a crying bloody shame bootskin don't work on all comps :SNIFF!: i really hate not being able to skin my boots,i'll dam well make sure the next comp i get does tho it''ll part of the stipulation of me buying it , booty no work, no comp sale ;p

Not sure if they will let you install Bootskin to see if it will work as this is the only way to know.

Well dang, that truly blows. I build myself a nice screaming machine and it won't run one piece of software? That does it, I'm just going to have to blow myself up into my component atoms. *activates personal thermo-nuclear device*
