Tiny details in *raceconfig.xml* but weird, nevertheless.

And, green lights or yellow glimpses for fonts & text, everywhere.

Is it me or the trade movies weren't all showing up as they should during the UnitedPlanets meetings?
Because, i noticed...
the bik files were saved as #_small in the Movies folder when the default/installed/valid/permanent raceconfig.xml listed them as "RaceImage??_small/happy/neutral/angry(s).bik".

No wonder i couldn't see their glowingly/gradiently/shaky heads & faces. Edited the xml and -bang-, slick animations now hover all over the place while i'm taking an important decision (which, btw, i'd wish for that meeting to happen more often, somehow - every six/four (hummmm: Quarterly GNN news, make the researched Robots optional even, semestrial exams and results, TOP-ten military report power *only*(btw), etc.) months or UPON specific event-driven features!).

As an aside question;
Can the standardized yellow/orange/like default color for the interface fonts in some text and numerous menus/+/screens/+/listings be modified or be made optional or even, be tied with a race currently in use?
Cuz, i'm really starting to blink at the same date/turn/zoomer-number/shield line(etcs) info. BC value gets its own red alerting! Approval percentages do stand out if shining green maximums.
You get my drift. Not a bug, more like a formal request for a slight adjustment.

Please, i'd certainly use & really enjoy a more "complete" customized interface - specially when it comes to TEXT and visual effects.

Kay, i feel soooo silly.
What actually happened is that i had *renamed* the trade movies to the shorty but incompatible length since i figured they were "looking" better and would be easier to search for! Duh-
Corrected everything right back to defaults. Fixed.

Although, i still would like to obtain a kind-of response from any SD-Coders about the "Yellow/Text" issues as i seriously believe such a simple alteration feature should be made optional on the Interface settings screen.

Another small thought on a related subject, please.

Shadowing of the top-sections on almost every pop-ups is somehow "interfering" with a few cue-symbols...
(Examples;
1) the *i* shortcut to define ship automations via a sub-pop.
2) the races influence/territorial ratios as they are colored (& so modified from the actual real hues defined) on the side-bar) can rapidly mix into false evaluations!
3) the trade screens of X-Worlds could use a much clearer top section of their biks since that invaluable space (32 pixels here, 64 there!) would be used to design animation/symbol/gradient/progress-bars sort of stuff rather than overlap the main-pictures.

I DO understand these could always be altered by modding the numerous dxpack files parameters - i possibly will have to, but giving us a configuration slot as an option should solve many "problems" i or anyone else experienced with the glow effects.

I think those font colors that aren't modified during the game to reflect good/bad values should be moddable in the dxpacks, but anything that does change color mid-game is most likely in the code.

You mean, as INTO each and every dxpack basic references to the "yellowy" text?
Outch, that hurts. Considerable editing would be necessary for such a simple thing. Strange though that with all the present customization features already there, nobody bothered with the main interfacing of some fonts. DL-blues, DA-reddies, many races & all with deterministic designs, a few concept-based arythmia/ethics with Menus and capitalization of WHITES cue-text... but nothing to alter from yellows to what i'd prefer -- slicky/toned/greys or even, optional to many others if and when.

I'll try the dxpack(s) editing suggested and see whatever it comes to. Still, i guess the code-gang should have a look at the possibility.
