Espionage Crash

Reproducible?

If you load a saved game from within the game, and immediately attempt to place a spy, the game will crash, at least for me.

Any saved game, or a particular one? If you can reproduce this with a certain save every time, please zip it and send it to [email protected] with a description of the problem, a SmartException crash report if you get one, and a link back to this thread.

I've noticed other, non-crashing bugs with espionage in the beta. Sometimes if I double click on an improvement to place a spy, no spy gets placed and a tile a few tiles to the right flashes (a tile that can't have an improvement btw). Now, if i click a tile, then hit the button for Place Spy everything works fine.

Actually, loading a save from within the game (at least a save of the same game), seems to screw everything up. If you launch a ship after loading, and attempt to give it orders, it will give you the out of range message. You have to quit the game, and start fresh.
