Economic Balance needed for Immense galaxies

Economic Balance needed for Immense galaxies

I've been trying to play TA on Gigantic and immense galaxies, but economies for these sized galaxies has been extremely nerfed, i find it impossible to have a stable economy, even with a total of 130% economic bounuses(racial abilities and resources) im still deep in the red, i've never had this problem in DA (i'm usually in the black by this point by a few hundred credits per turn). smaller maps aren't as bad but they have still been nerfed and it takes alot more time to get your economy up. Personally i think its the tourism bonus that needs help in my current game (immense galaxy, with 9 opponents) i generate 2250bc from tax and 44bc from tourism, with expenses(slder@ 100%) 2803bc, thats also with less than one SMALL ship per planet.

I'm not very concerned about it. I just read they're pushing the release date up to March. There should be plenty of time to get things balanced out with respect to the game's economy. This issue with the beta does suggest things are going to be different economically in TA, which is good really.

I still say there needs to be a main slider when you start a game, make the economy hard [how it is now] or make it easy [how it was in beta 3]. Its the only reasonable idea, i mean some people seem to like the challenge while others hate it in all ways. [im in the second camp, i hate it XD]

ATM I'm on immense and sitting on over 100000bc... Figuring out how to deal with the 3000bc starting out is the tricky part.

One of the things that I have noticed is it really depends on your race, population, and the buildings. When I played the Dregin, I was making 1000BC a turn with a rather small empire with ships on each planet. I just played as the Terrans and could only manage about...maybe, 200 BC a turn with trade, a high tax rate, and four stock exchanges per planet. I did have an economic starbase near Terra with the trade, but it got destroyed by the Dread Lords. With the Terrans, I had one ship per planet. Dregin, I had two per planet and multiple fleets.

But it's definately hard to start in the beginning, I've gone as far as not developing any new planets until I can make money on them, but lately I just rush the entire Economy tree and the addition to Stock Exchanges. But I'm still pretty new at this game, I just finally realized that 100% spending is your friend. >_<
