Objectdock Positioning (act like taskbar? automatically hidden and only on desktop)

I've created a dock at the top of the desktop.
Now I want it to be hidden when other programs/windows are maximized.
And it should ONLY pop up/slide in on the desktop and NOT when other windows are maximized.
Is this possible? Thank you in advance

Yes you can. Open up your dock configuration and find positioning. Under that should be options for interaction. Now not every function works as we expect. You can autohide the dock just like the taskbar. It will slide down or onto the screen from where ever you have the dock (top, side or bottom). You can maximize a window and the dock will not show, that is unless you move the cursor to the area where the dock is. Hope you follow that.  ;)

If you haven't checked the WinCustomize Wiki, click the link below, it should provide some additional help.

Come on back and let us know if that's what you wanted.  ;)

Do excatly what Philly says. Here is the quick list of settings.

Right click on the dock > settings > Posistioning > Interaction setting "Keep on top, hiding off-screen for max apps"

Well, tried this option already but the dock also appears when other windows are maximized (when nearing the top of the window) :(
I use Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit, are there perhaps any problem known with this OS?!

That's interesting. I don't think I've seen anyone identify this as a 64bit problem.

Go back into the ObjectDock Configuration, make sure nothing is checked that will cause your dock to always be on top. I'm using OD Plus so the screens are a little different. You may have to click of all the options to find the right fix.

Oh, did you try the link in my first post? There should have been something there.

I am currently using 64bit Vista so I don't think this is the issue. What programs do you maximize and get this issue with?

It doesn't matter which program. Explorer, Firefox, mIRC...
I just don't get it :SNIFF!:

I posted the problem of the tabs showing on top of maximized windows even though all the options are set properly. Investigating the problem I discovered that it looks like it might be a timing problem.

If I let OD+ load with windows it is a hit or miss (mostly miss) whether my tabs will not be on top. If I don't let OD+ start with windows and then start it up myself after Windows is done loading I have no problem. You can also click on the tabs on top menu option twice to get things working properly. Also quitting OD+ and restarting gets things going properly

So what I eventually did was get a free "startup delayer" program and timed my startup programs so that OD+ starts last. In my case I had to have it wait at least 12 seconds in order to get things to work right everytime.

I am running Vista Ultimate x32.

Startup delayer is here if interested:

Ok I will make sure that the OD developers know about this. Thank you very much for the input!
