InitializeDirect3D Failed - Game crash @ Start

from GalCiv2 Forums
Hello,
i have bought the game for a few minutes online. Now i want to start and all
i became ist a black screen. So i searched the support forum and try a lot of the
thinks like changing the "prefs.ini" and look for updates. Nothing helps.

Have some any Idea ?

I have the latest Driver for the Nvidia installed.

Did you use an external monitor now or the last time you played?

Try rebooting then to make sure there's nothing else running in the background that might be using direct3d. If that doesn't help, contact [email protected].

I was on the Nvidia Suppport Page. This are the newest driver for the GeforceGo 7900 Gtx.

Thanks for your post, rebooting doesn´t help, can you tell me what else might using direct3d ?

Thanks @all it works. It was the Videodriver. No new Driver on Nvidia but one by Dell. Who unterstand this ? But it works and thats the thing.
