Two suggestions to help with end-game clutter

save game date stamp and UI flash

First post. I'm a very big fan of how open Stardock is to fan input. It's very refreshing.

Anyway, ass-kissery aside... I had three quick suggestions. Please forgive me if any have been asked already. I've been reading the forums for a few days, but haven't scanned through every page.

1) Save game date/time stamp ----- Could we get a date/time stamp on saved games? I have four or five saves for every game and, especially when I can't play for a few days, I forget which is the "most recent" saved game.

2) Visual queues to complement audio messages ----- In larger games, especially with teams, I get audio messages about allied fleets, enemy fleets and planet events every other second. I honestly just tune them out because I can't follow them all. But sometimes a significant force is attacking my planets and I don't notice for a few minutes. Would it be possible to add a colored flash around the involved planet/fleet? Some sort of reticle? They could be color coded based on type. For functionality, the UI flashes could appear only when zoomed out enough for the planet icons to appear.

3) Saved, custom building placement "templates" ----- In Supreme Commander, some modders created scripts that allowed various clusters of buildings to be placed with a single click. I could create an "outpost" with some resource gatherers, surrounded by some power stations and artillery cannons, without having to click through the various buildings dozens of times with each setup. In Sins, could there be a setup or two saved--maybe a specific combo of defensive structures or a typical "manufacturing" setup.

That's it! Thanks again!

The important ones will show on the event cards in the lower left area of the UI, where you can cycle back through the last several in each category and see where they happened.

I do notice those cards. I'll have to explore them a bit. Thanks! That will probably take care of things.

#1 and #2 are already in the game and while I like #3, there simply isn't enough time left to implement it. In addition to the event cards, planets under attack will flash red on the mainview and in the empire tree.

That number 3 sounds great, maybe if there is an expansion?
