We're looking for the coolest alien-themed Dreams you can come up with.  Using the power of Vista Ultimate, Dreamscene and Stardock's DeskScapes, we've partnered directly with Alienware to give away one hell of a Gaming & Graphics PC!  On top of that, there's $1,500 in cash up for grabs too.

All you have to do is make an alien-themed Dream and submit it via the contest site by 11:59pm EST on December 31st.  We'll be sorting through the submissions, and picking out the three overall best entries.
  • 1st Place - Alienware Area-51 7500 Desktop PC, MSRP $2,994.00
  • 2nd Place - $1,000 Cash
  • 3rd Place - $500 Cash
It's as easy as can be to enter!  Many of you on this forum have been building and submitting Dreams for months now.  Take what you've been doing all this time, those skills and tools, and try and get something cool in return.

Full contest rules and prize information can be found here:

Get those creative juices flowing!  You don't want to lose your chance at winning such a great PC.

and muckyman they can ship it to you.
End of quote
Unless Stardock says they can, they cannot.  The contest rules are clear.

muckyman you need to apply for citizenship as soon as possible and make a friend in the states that will let you live there for a few so you can take advantage of this offer..i am just saying that all of stardocks customers should be treated the same in a contest no matter where they live, wether it is stardocks or alienwares rules...either way you still got some cool dreams out there and deserve a virtual prize then......

Yeah, WOM was sad to see his favorite dream maker isn't eligible.

I've only been doing graphic stuff for about 8 months! I got a feeling the prizes will bring out the truly talented and experienced artists. Plus, I only have one month to come up with something. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to compete.

On the bright side, I sure hope to see some awesome submissions!

One of our internal guys threw together a quick dream example for a short how-to article I'll be posting soon.  It's actually a pretty cool proof of concept dream that if it looped, wouldn't be a half-bad entry.  It only took him a few days of off-and-on work to do it.  He's not one of our artists either.  I think there's enough time to get something cool put together and posted.

Remember, you can post your early version (so long as it works) and update it as you can.  An entry, even a not fully refined one, is better than no entry at all.

Why do all the Skin Ratings for all the Alienware dreams have 5 blue Alienware heads when you use the Alienware's dream page? Should this rating match the Skin Rating on the normal dream page?
