Possible bug - Vasari Antorak Marauder

Hey,

I have found, that the level 6 ability of the Vasari "Antorak Marauder" capital ship, which produce a Phase Gate at the ships given location, is bugged and hence, doesn't work. When I at a given planet use the Antorak's ability, the ship starts making a lot of noice, which lasts for a minute or two followed by no effect whatsoever.

I presume this is a bug, so if others have experienced similar occurences with the Antorak Marauder, the information would be appreciated, thanks.

Are you sure it's not working? Have you tried to sending ships to the planet where the antorak is at? This ability doesn't create anything, it just causes the planet to be temporarily linked to the phase network. The visual effect is kinda small (the ring around the back of the ship turns into a phase gate) so you might not have noticed it.

Aye, zoom out a bit and mouse over the planet, it will say it's an endpoint and you can traverse between the system and other pg's briefly. Very briefly btw, so be ready to jump and in the zone before you hit it.

Yep, it's not a bug and the ability works fine. There's not much visible indication that the phase gate is created, but as long as the Antorak remains stationary and the ability is 'channeling', friendly ships will be able to use that grav well as if it had a phase gate built. You'll need another Antorak or constructed phase gate to make use of the ability, since you need 2 gates for ships to travel between.

omg, I could just see it

battling it out 3 planets away from his hw, your antorak dominating defensively from the back field. you slip in an antory before he can react and BAM, phasespace right to his HW to await the 3 jumps it will take him to get to you. by which time, of course, you will be ready to phasehop to another planet
