I have not been able to start the Beta with vista is this going to be fixed?

this isnt the normal place to come with Visa problems... usually you go to the immigration department.


just kidding, Vista isnt your problem. I run it on basic with absolutely no issue.

Which version of the beta? Do you have the latest patch? Were you able to start it in xp? Are there any error messages reported? I would check the beta faq thread and try some of the suggestions in there like starting in windowed mode or disabling movies.

to be a little less blunt than I was earlier, and a hell of a lot less confusing than blair is now (no offense)

there are several things of which Vista could have mussed up over xp, driver updates, hardware compatability, improper installation etc. the best way to find out whats going on is to either search the beta faq thread, or
try some of the suggestions in there like starting in windowed mode or disabling movies.

I run on Vista Ultimate upgraded from XP Pro with no issues (it's actually faster). Just make sure you have all your drivers updated, and all patches for the game.

Its the latest version of the Beta when I had xp I was easily able to run it and play the game. It says
Failed to convert Hudicon_abilityphasejumpdistruptiontech to an enum value

it also never loads so i can't modify the program i get a black screen and thats all.

sounds like a bugged dl, delete the file and reload it.
