Taskbar is tasking

Can anyone explain?

Hi

I'm having my first go at making my own skin with skin studio. But I was wondering if anyone can explain how the task bar is created from the tiny image. Does windows blinds just stretch that little image across the full width of the screen? So if you have a widescreen monitor that image is going to get stretched to about 7 times its actual size right?

Help and knowledge much appreciated.

The taskbar can be stretched or tiled... just set the margins and the type of paint mode. You can use any width image within reason.. I suggest 30 tall and as wide as u like.. 100 pixels wide would be a decent start. ALso make sure all your task area buttons are the same height and leave all your top and bottom margins 4,4 to insure everything is centered correctly.
