Invisible builtin Engines on hulls

you can see inside your ships from behind

Hi! I played a new game with 1.8c yesterday and noticed that the "invisible" engines are still there. sometimes the "builtin" engines of a hull are not visible and the shape is missing so you can see inside your through your ship.

I use an ATI Radeon x1600 with AMD Athlon XP 3000+ and WinXP.

(Sometimes the engine trails are only on one engine visible if there are two engines on the hull, too. But did not see it in 1.8 yet so I have to test it again.)

Can you post a screenshot illustrating the problem?

I've been having the same problem since updating to 1.8 from 1.5. I wasn't having the problem with 1.5 or earlier. Here's a screenshot.

I'm using an Intel 82915g/GV/910GL Express Chipset for graphics (it's onboard).

I have had the same problem on and off with all three versions of Galciv2 (original flava', DA, and TA); I'm not able to reproduce it though, it seems to be random...

same...Im using a 8800gts, and my laptop with a x700 gets the same issue. Definitely not a specific gfx card issue.

If you have a particular ship design that exhibits the problem every game, email it to [email protected] with a description of the problem.

i found this to happen in both DA and TA. with DA i was using a 1950xtx and with TA i am using a 2900xt.

this happens on 99% of the ships i build. but to me it's only a cosmetic thing as i am zoomed out most the time while playing.

and Kryo, do i mail in just the ships or the save as well?

The save can't hurt, just make sure to zip it up.
