Do planets have differnt max populations?

I know over population makes morale worse but it would be great if I knew what the optimal poulation for a planet is. Does the max vary by planet as well? I can't find any stat giving me this info.

I do believe that different size planets do have diff. max populations. I believe someone out there may be working on getting that info.

It seems that the population size is dependent on the planet's value and morale ratings. It will always grow if the moral is above a certain level. The only way to get more people on the planet is to increase the planet value (e.g. Soil Enrichment) and the moral (Entertainment Center). This also explains why the random events involving indiginous populations affect a planet's moral.

A planet does have an absolute maximum population dependant on it's size. I'm planning on working out a table listing as many planet classes as I can conjure up a way to reach and their max populations in the near future (presuming college doesn't get in the way.... Whatever possesed me to take Calculus and C++ at the same time, I'll never know... :notsure: )
